Your Vaccinated Immune System Is Ready for Breakthroughs
The Atlantic ^ | 27 Jul 2021 | Katherine J. Lu

Posted on 07/27/2021 6:23:11 PM PDT by blueplum

Coronavirus infections are happening among vaccinated people. They’re going to keep happening as long as the virus is with us, and we’re nowhere close to beating it. When a virus has so thoroughly infiltrated the human population, post-vaccination infections become an arithmetic inevitability. As much as we’d like to think otherwise, being vaccinated does not mean being done with SARS-CoV-2.

Post-vaccination infections, or breakthroughs, might occasionally turn symptomatic, but they aren’t shameful or aberrant. They also aren’t proof that the shots are failing. These cases are, on average, gentler and less symptomatic; faster-resolving, with less virus lingering—and, it appears, less likely to pass the pathogen on. ...

...To understand the anatomy of a breakthrough case, it’s helpful to think of the human body as a castle....

...Without vaccination, the castle’s defenders have no idea an attack is coming....Vaccination completely rewrites the beginning, middle, and end of this story. COVID-19 shots act as confidential informants, who pass around intel on the pathogen within the castle walls. With that info, defensive cells can patrol the building’s borders...When the virus attempts to force its way in, it will hit “backup layer after backup layer” of defense, Bhattacharya told me.

Prepped by a vaccine, immune reinforcements will be marshaled to the fore much faster—within days of an invasion, sometimes much less....

.... our shots shouldn’t be faulted for failing to live up to an impossible standard—one that obscures what they are able to accomplish. A breached stronghold is not necessarily a defeated stronghold; any castle that arms itself in advance will be in a better position than it was before.

a refreshing breath of sanity for a change (LOL)

A refreshing breath of INSANITY for a change...

No one healthy was dying of COVID period! This guy is a major nut-job. He would vaccinate a baby in it’s womb! There are major complications to the Vaccines (never mentioned), with death and permanent injury included.

But facts are facts.
The current tests are combining COVID and Flu.
The Flu and associated 40-80 thousand deaths a year did not disappear (only the braindead believe that).
The reported Death Count was Died With COVID not Died of...
Very few healthy people under 65 are dying of COVID
The Vaccines are more deadly to healthy people than COVID
The CDC is not listing the adverse affects and damage the Vaccines are doing.
The percentage of people getting COVID that are fully vaccinated is much higher than 20%
Natural immunity is superior to a shot
It is utterly stupid to vaccinate anyone under 25 (1 in a million chance of dying of COVID)
The list can go on forever?

Provide one intelligent response and convince me I am wrong about any of the above. But I am saying for sure that this idea to Vaccinate everyone is beyond stupid. Take care of the those with immunity deficiencies, spend billions on early treatment, tell the public the truth, and to the vaccinate everyone crowd, quit being stupid.

well, I’ll start with the first statement:

“No one healthy was dying of COVID period!”

If we subtract the 200K in nursing homes that died as ‘unhealthy’, that gives 400K that died ‘healthy’, except not everyone in a nursing home was unhealthy, just old, but let’s just go with 400K. Then you can look at the world numbers and try to convince me that everyone who died in Thailand or Australia or England weren’t healthy.

“The current tests are combining COVID and Flu.”

The nasal swab cannot detect flu. but, from AP: “ PCR tests are considered the gold standard for coronavirus testing. CDC announced after this year it will be withdrawing its request to the FDA for Emergency Use Authorization for one early PCR test, not because that test is inaccurate, but because it can only detect coronavirus. Newer tests can now also test for influenza at the same time.

https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-436833075130

“The Flu and associated 40-80 thousand deaths a year did not disappear (only the braindead believe that).”

Actually it dropped slightly - not only because of social distancing but (I believe) because we kept Chinese tourists out of America and so stopped the annual spread of H1N1. Flu deaths were subtracted from ‘excess mortality’ numbers.

“The reported Death Count was Died With COVID not Died of...”

Please provide a solid number of ‘died with’ as opposed to ‘died of’. ‘with’ can complicate illness that a person may not be dying of, until he can’t breathe or clots up or organs fail from o2 deprevation. Consider it’s possible a managed diabetic can live to 80, but with covid on top of that, not so much

“Very few healthy people under 65 are dying of COVID’

Define ‘healthy’. By age 40, most people have one or more issues. Covid isn’t just one variant. The covid of last year is wimpy compared to Delta of this year. ERs and ICUs are seeing younger and younger patients intubated (those under 40).

“The Vaccines are more deadly to healthy people than COVID”

6K POSSIBLE vaccine-related deaths vs 400K dead. hmmm. Vaccine-related deaths seem an American phenomenon. Why is that?

“The CDC is not listing the adverse affects and damage the Vaccines are doing.”

you dont read a lot of research papers, right?

“The percentage of people getting COVID that are fully vaccinated is much higher than 20%”

I don’t know what it is, but whats the difference between an aysmptomatic and a vaccinated? Asymtomatics wanted old folks to stay inside last year so they woudn’t get infected. Now asymptomatics want vaccinated folks to stay inside this year so unvaccinated won’t get infected. Sounds like a crock to me. No masks for asymptomatics so no masks for vaccinated !

“There’s an old study of measles transmission between 1999 and 2000. It’s going to sound counterintuitive, what they found but if you think about it, it makes sense,” Offit, a vaccine adviser to the FDA and director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, told CNN’s Jim Acosta last week.

“Obviously, you were least likely to get measles if you were vaccinated living in a highly vaccinated community. But you were actually more likely to get measles if you were vaccinated living in a highly unvaccinated community than if you were unvaccinated living in a highly vaccinated community,” Offit said.:

“Natural immunity is superior to a shot”

Proof? Recovered from the original virus are still coming down with Delta.

“It is utterly stupid to vaccinate anyone under 25 (1 in a million chance of dying of COVID)”

Wow. I knew we’d get to something we’d agree on. I don’t think those under 18 need vaccination unless China throws another more virulent virus at us. But then again that’s up to their parents, who have a vested interest in staying alive and know better than both of us if their kids are running around in large groups and more likely to bring the virus home to Dad.

That was fun. What other myths do you have?

First I want to say thank you! I appreciate your response.

I wish people in the government would try to present as clear an argument as you. I think I would be able to make a better-informed decision. However, we do disagree on some stuff too.

“Then you can look at the world numbers and try to convince me that everyone who died in Thailand or Australia or England weren’t healthy.”

The UK death rate always baffled me. They are roughly the same population as Florida. Florida has dense cities and an elderly population (a ton of retirees). Florida remained mostly open and unmasked. Yet had over four times the death rate.

“Actually, it dropped slightly - not only because of social distancing but (I believe) because we kept Chinese tourists out of America and so stopped the annual spread of H1N1.”

Wrong. The flu did not drop slightly, it basically disappeared. Look at the 3-Year average compared to last year. Percent of visits is way under 1%.

http://www.floridahealth.gov/diseases-and-conditions/influenza/index.html

“Please provide a solid number of ‘died with’ as opposed to ‘died of”

I can’t really. However, there are plenty of stories of accidents being counted as COVID. Earlier it was reported that Hospitals had a decent financial incentive to treat COVID patients. My biggest problem here is I do not trust the government or the media to tell the truth. This is based on their constant lies (you can get COVID outside, cheap cloth masks work, kindergarten children are better wearing a mask, etc.)

“Define ‘healthy’. By age 40, most people have one or more issues.”

There have been over 34.5 million positive tests for COVID. Likely over 125 million infections (low end). Out of all these infections for age 0-17 only 142 have died (again, likely underlying condition and INVOLVING COVID, sorry how reported), for age 18-29 only 1012, 30-39 the number is 7,600, it does grow for 50-64 to 39,000.

But you must consider that this death rate is out of millions infected per category. Back to flu disappearing — Under 25 there were only 28 deaths for the year. If this doesn’t smell funny, nothing will.

“6K POSSIBLE vaccine-related deaths vs 400K dead. hmmm. Vaccine-related deaths seem an American phenomenon.”

I wish the government was honest about the numbers and I could trust them. But strangely Covid Surges In 4 Of 5 Most Vaccinated Countries. Sweden’s daily Covid deaths hit zero, with human liberty still intact. I wish our government would be open and honest and let me make an informed decision.

As a side note, my circle of friends isn’t that large. But had two that were hospitalized for a few weeks after the vaccine and one killed by the vaccine. She was 35 and healthy, the virus would not have killed her.

Then my last point. Big business is totally invested in vaccine push. Billions are at stake to keep vaccinating everyone. Can we really trust anything the government says along with all the censoring? Can we really trust the media. We live in scary times.

“Proof? Recovered from the original virus are still coming down with Delta.”

Only if you believe what you are spoon feed. There are plenty of doctors and scientists that believe natural immunity is best. Next, because we have been lied to by the media, government, and all counter messages silence, what is the real truth? There is no thinking person that thinks Biden won the election fairly, or that Trump has prostitutes pee on him, or that Trump was a Russian spy... The years of government and media lying along with stealing the elections has taken it’s toll on trust. By the way, Kennedy didn’t win either. Republicans have been turning a blind eye for decades.

And showing an AP story is not going to convince me.

But again, I want to thank you even if we disagree somewhat on what you consider an honest and objective opinion. Stay safe and healthy how you choose. I am sure there are a lots of things we agree on.

One thing I didn’t mention is that I still believe 10s of thousands (maybe 25%) died unnecessarily. Early treatment was to throw them on ventilators much too quickly (this hastened their deaths). The second was to not spend the dollars and effort on therapeutics and treatments.

It still is insanely stupid to concentrate all efforts on a vaccinate all strategy instead of splitting up the effort on treatments. Once Operation Warp Speed was successful another one should have been launch for therapeutics and treatments. Countless lives could have been saved.

You have to ask, do large multibillion vaccine companies want successful treatments?

just have time for a quick reply on the ventilator/treatments.

Re: treatments: by midFeb over 80 medication trials had begun (Feb 15, 2020, “More than 80 clinical trials launch to test Corona virus treatments”

Ventilating:
Here’s a video from Dr Seheult, that addresses venting. The daily CV thread tracked him early on.

he produced this video Jan 28 that explains the basis for deciding to ventilate and the ventilation procedures developed in the US since 2000:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okg7uq_HrhQ

In the first part of this video he explains that they delay venting people until they start wearing themselves out with fast but ineffective breathing. About 7 minutes into it, he describes the microclotting even in avioli.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlUFibXtDxQ

And in this April 2020 video he asks if mechanical ventilation can make some patients worse. He gets a bit technical and describes the “H’ pneumonia and “L” pneumonias of Covid and how they require separate approaches to ventilation. He also points to several studies that show that back in May, they were still trying to figure out best protocol:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8aG63yigjA

one of the biggest problems with ventilators were lack of trained nursing staff (bringing in student nurses not trained in ICU/ventilator equipment/alarms) and lack of ventilators. I vaguely remember at one point NYC was experimenting with putting multiple people on one ventilator just using extra hoses - didn’t work so well.

“a refreshing breath of sanity for a change”

Except that nowhere in the article (that I could find) are mentioned the atrocious side effects of the “vaccine”, shedding, the words, “death” or “dying”. It only speaks to the WuFlu itself.

It sucks and it tears at our heart strings to hear about people with the rare side effect to a vaccine 600,000 lives purchased.

The whole post brought a tear to my eye after I stopped laughing. Darn good elevator pitch for a Lifetime movie.

Just a heads up...

“Natural immunity is superior to a shot”

Proof? Recovered from the original virus are still coming down with Delta.

Cleveland Clinic study: The cumulative incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection remained almost zero among previously infected unvaccinated subjects, previously infected subjects who were vaccinated, and previously uninfected subjects who were vaccinated, compared with a steady increase in cumulative incidence among previously uninfected subjects who remained unvaccinated. Not one of the 1359 previously infected subjects who remained unvaccinated had a SARS-CoV-2 infection over the duration of the study.

A new CDC report detailed 469 cases of COVID-19 linked to an outbreak in Provincetown, Massachusetts between July 3 and July 17.

Of the infections, 74% occurred in fully vaccinated people who had one of the three FDA-emergency approved vaccines and 80% had symptoms.

Just saying... tell me again why natural immunity is not better a experimental drug?

Bearing in mind the ROI of Delta is 5, and the original virus is 2, it’s easy to see how an infection can spread quickly. In just two steps 30 are infected by 1, where it used to be 6 infected by 1 in two steps. Then add in ‘the nation’s most famous gay resort’ factor, and positive cases testing 90% for Delta....and perhaps a larger immunocompromised population (gay dudes) and....wait! no deaths! That’s vaccine success right there.

But we have to ask, is an outbreak of breakthroughs at gay-centric events full of gay, homosexuals, bisexuals, furrys and freaks reflective of the gen pop? Probably not on a good day given the incidence of STDS in that community.

Most cases occurred in males (85%); median age was 40 years .....4 vaccinated were hospitalized, “aged 20–70 years” “two of whom had underlying medical conditions” with zero deaths.
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7031e2.htm?s_cid=mm7031e2_w

also from the above, “Among the 469 cases in Massachusetts residents, 346 (74%) occurred in persons who were fully vaccinated; of these, 301 (87%) were male, with a median age of 42 years. Vaccine products received by persons experiencing breakthrough infections were Pfizer-BioNTech (159; 46%), Moderna (131; 38%), and Janssen (56; 16%); “

and “demographics of cases likely reflect those of attendees at the public gatherings, as events were marketed to adult male participants; further study is underway to identify other population characteristics among cases, such as additional demographic characteristics and underlying health conditions including immunocompromising conditions.”

“The CDC attributes the Provincetown outbreak, which occurred from July 3 through July 17, to “densely packed indoor and outdoor events that included bars, restaurants, guest houses and rental homes.” The Washington Post reports that “at least five events sparked the outbreak, so it is not possible to blame it on one party or one bar.” Nor is it yet clear how many of the infections were acquired from vaccinated carriers
https://reason.com/2021/07/30/the-provincetown-outbreak-shows-vaccinated-people-can-be-infected-by-the-coronavirus-but-the-cdcs-director-grossly-exaggerates-that-risk/

from the same article:
“”The 125,682 ‘breakthrough’ cases in 38 states found by NBC News represent less than .08 percent of the 164.2 million-plus people who have been fully vaccinated since January, or about one in every 1,300,”

lets put the Cleveland study against this pre-print that covers a full year, and the emergence of the Delta variant, and see:

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3980775/posts

Those who think they have natural immunity from asymptomatic or mild infection may not have the level of immunity they think they have or as long as they think they have it (apparently, especially men) And while milds/assyies may have good immunity towards the original Wuhan, their immunity towards variants is another story, same as variants challenge the effectiveness of vaccines.
