Pensacola Man Accidentally Shoots Himself While Showing Off Gun

A Pensacola man is recovering from a gunshot wound on Monday, after accidentally shooting himself at a tavern last week.
Pensacola police said 28-year-old Carlos Feituuaki Tuifua shot himself at O’Riley’s Uptown Tavern, while showing it off to bar patrons on Thursday.
According to a report, Tuifua suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso and left the bar after the shot was fired.
Police found Tuifua at a nearby hospital on Friday, after he checked himself in to be treated for his injury.

You should never unholster a loaded weapon unless you intend to use it.
If you want to show it off, take it outside and safely unload it, check it again and then take it back inside, empty with no magazine.

We were watching the Holmes/Cooney fight and the homeowner was showing off his new Colt Combat Commander .45 - he racked the slide, popped out the mag, and before I could say hey! round in the chamber! he shot himself in the thigh, just missing the big artery.
Good thing my truck had vinyl upholstery.

Why is this news? There are 350 million people in this country and a guy accidentally shoots himself?
What about the guy that accidentally dove into an empty swimming pool and cracked his head open?
