Imagine walking through the woods and seeing this.
Howard Martin posted this photo on Facebook and now many are doing their best to identify this very strange animal.
The photo was reportedly taken near St. Francisville, north of Baton Rogue, in Louisiana and it shows a four-legged animal, with no fur, hopping over a branch.
Some on social media have suggested that this animal may be a coyote with mange, while others say that it may be another breed of animal that is sick.
Now, because this is on the internet, like you, we too will approach this photo with caution. This photo could be edited and not authentic, but many are suggesting that they too have seen such animals while out in the wild.
As a matter of fact, someone commented under the original post saying that they have shot one like above.
Jokingly, some have even suggested that the animal in the photo here is part of Louisiana folklore. Yes. some are saying that this may be the "Roogarou."
What are your thoughts on this photo? Is it real and if so, what type of animal is this? You can comment on the social media page that directed you to this story.
“..Chupacabra!..”

Nancy Pelosi?
suspicious if it is a canine ‘in a tree’ - looks maybe photoshopped-
A dog with mange.
I would have said mangy canid but it lacks the roughening/thickening of the skin found with mange.
Looks a lot like a Xolo.
Positively not a Dobe.
They do not have naturally erect ears.
It’s a Chihuaroo - a Chihuahua-kangaroo mix.
Could be a branch on the ground and low camera.
Somebody is missing an expensive dog.
When Majorettes Go Bad...
You say Dingaroo, I say Chihuaroo...
Let’s call the whole thing fox.
We saw several of these on a agave farm in Mexico many years ago. Not something you’re likely to forget. Odd looking creatures...but I would’ve brought one home.
I have a game cam picture of a nice big healthy coyote. A couple nights later an emaciated zombie like coyote walked through (was not hairless).
I’ve seen a coydog in the field behind us. It was large and impressive. It was sitting at the edge of some trees and challenging the neighbors dogs further up the hill. When the dogs didn’t come out to fight, the very large pack of coyotes hiding in ambush let loose with a scary raucous.
Mange is an awful way to die.
Imma go with mangy coyote.
tony fauci...
We found a skinny Dobie with ears so bitten by mosquitos(Florida) that they were cauliflowered. Took him back to base and fed him and he went on his merry way.
Looks like a good set-up. A branch across a trail, camera set up to catch anything that jumps over the branch. Puppy’s being bad, out running trails.
