“Experiments months ago showed the spike protein induces clotting even without the virus present.”
If that’s the case the study will be in a paper at nih.ncbi or PubMed
Let’s see the link.
You’re not paying attention if you think that must be the case.
Here’s some research on the topic that is in the sources you seek:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33926262/
Brett Weinstein had the guy on his Dark Horse podcast that invented MRNA vaccines and they said there is evidence that the spike protein gets all over the body and is damaging to cells even without the virus.
This was published in March/April in medrXiv, I read it when it first came out.
It might not get published, as Faux-Xi / Big Pharma has a massive vested interest in pretending the jabs are the Second Coming.
(See also for example The Lancet publishing the fake article objecting to the Wuhan Lab theory, which they later had to admit was ginned up by one of those involved in gain-of-function experimentation, and the infamous article in Nature by one of those heavily involved in pushing the jabs internationally, literally accusing those against the jab as being influenced by the same sinister groups who insisted Trump lost the election due to fraud, and saying that "anti vaxxers" push theories like 'the vaccine turns you into a monkey' -- his words, in the article; he went on to demand UN involvement in forcing investigations and sanctions...
Needless to say, peer review is a joke. (See also the reproducibility problem, and the infamous emails from the Climate Research Center at the University of East Anglia).

but it has generally been accepted since (there are other articles by scientists who created vascular problems, IIRC in a mouse model, by created an attenuated Coof virus with spikes but no reproductive proteins; and articles from the Salk Institute describing vascular problems. In addition, the Lancet published a meta-study of COOF sufferers in the hospital showing about 21% of them suffered deep vein thrombosis as opposed to nominally 2%-3% of non-coof hospitalized patients, most commonly knee- and hip-replacement.
