No, not quite - the protest is against the United States, its police, and its military.
People that hate the USA should not be representing us.

The team was named after Louis Sockalexis, the first "Native American" to play major-league baseball. Taking away the Indians name is racist and offensive. Vast, large majorities of "Native Americans" not only say they're not offended by "Native American" team names, but are proud of them, but #woke whitefolk (progressives) decided that they, and not the group in question, get to decide what offends the group in question, rather than the members of that group. That is racist.
I guess the affected minority not being offended interferes with the #progressives #VirtueSignalling and their superiority complex. #Totalitarians don't like it when you stand up to them, whether they're Cubans, Haitians, Chinese, or woke white progressives.
And then, they cheaped out and kept half the names ("dians.")
The Guardians name honors four statues at the end of the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge (also known as the Hope Bridge), called the Guardians of Traffic. The bridge lets out just short of Progressive Field. But those statues are modelled on statues at the palaces of Assyrian kings, who were SLAVEHOLDERS. Typical of progressives to honor slaveholders. Birds of a feather.
Sadly, the Democrats' view of minorities hasn't changed ONE IOTA since the day the party was founded almost 200 years ago. All that has changed is the adoption of new tactics forced on them by Republicans taking their "property" from them -- and the color of the hoods. As Candace Owens says, "Liberals believe they own black people -- still." Native Americans too, apparently.

There’s something of a karma double-play going on here. Not only did the obnoxious and ultra-woke U.S. soccer team lose, they lost to Sweden. Sweden is the one country that went its own way with the pandemic and didn’t impose widespread lockdowns.

Rapinoe should be tossed from the team no matter how good she is. She does not represent the USA.
Mainly, age contributed to the 3-0 loss to Sweden. Remember that Sweden is very good. They were the runners up in the last World Cup. They bounced the U.S. out of the last Olympics. They played the U.S. to a draw earlier this year. If Olympic or World Cup soccer was played NBANHLMLB style, best of seven, the U.S. would probably beat Sweden 4-2, but on any given day Sweden is perfectly capable of winning.
The issue with this U.S. team is age. The core group of players has been together for more than ten years. They have been a great group of players. They’ve won back to back World Cups (something which Germany also accomplished with a similarly dominant cohort of players).
But the team has fallen into the trap of sitting too long on a pat hand, and this group has now aged together. It’s starting to show. The U.S. will still dominate most opponents, but peer group teams — and there are only about half a dozen teams that can hope to play them evenly — are now poised to overtake them. Sweden made it look easy. That was probably an off-game for the U.S. but still, Sweden was finding space that wouldn’t have existed just a couple of years ago. Age hits the legs first. There will be wholesale changes in this U.S. team after this Olympics. They’ve been the oldest team in the field in every major tournament since 2015, and it’s now caught up with them.
