Israel had the virus under control with zero or almost zero new cases... and then it broke out again.
SO far I haven’t seen an explanation in the medical literature but their government is very concerned with this new outbreak.
Since they have a very high percentage of vaccinated people, the problem is not likely those that have chosen not to get shot(s).
The problem could be a new variant of the virus (which the existing vaccines are not very effective against) or the fact that the vaccines are being reported to have relatively short effect in the body (we’ve seen articles about 4 or 5 months and the pharm companies are talking about a third “booster” shot already!), or?
Neither of the above possible causes would be materially defeated with the Cabinet’s proposal. But, they probably can’t think of anything else to do right away. A serious problem with governments is their tendency to order people about anyway ... when they have no immediately real solutions to problems. I guess it serves the bureaucrats’ need to be seen to “do something!”
I will not be surprised if it is determined after several years of research that the introduction of these “vaccines” while COVID-19 cases were still widespread was a terrible idea because it spawned evolutionary mutations of the virus while it was still very active.
