Audience: Individuals Performing COVID-19 Testing
Level: Laboratory Alert
After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives.
Visit the FDA website for a list of authorized COVID-19 diagnostic methods. For a summary of the performance of FDA-authorized molecular methods with an FDA reference panel, visit this page.
In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing.

DuckDuckGo can find it.
They are not discontinuing RT-PCR testing. They are discontinuing the original Assay Kit distributed from the CDC. There are litterally dozens RT-PCR Assay kits. CDC is specifically recommending labs transition to Multi-analyte Respiratory Panel Tests, so they can test for multiple illnesses in one test. OMG, so evil! As always, the OP is just misinformation.

The snarky way they write it it amounts to an admission of how the most frequently used PCR test is not accurate enough in differentiating SarscCov-19 from SarsCov, without actually saying that.
So does that mean that some Covid 19 deaths could have been FLU deaths wrongly identified?
It means two things. One the tests cannot distinguish between Covid and the flu.
The other is that they are pushing to use the new gates/Soros corporation tests
do you know what tests they are using to determine variants, and/or have any information on how how they are getting their variant statistics ?
I cannot seem to find anything.
missing data and rectally excreted and repeated statistics always smell funny to me.
“CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses.”
Like I’ve said from the beginning, they don’t even have an accurate test for the virus, so why would I bother to get the vaccine?
No, it’s the opposite of that.
They now have tests that can simultaneously test for both Covid and the flu. Earlier ones were only for Covid. For those you would have to do a second test if you wanted to see if it was the flu.
Yes, but the multiplex method is still PCR. Specifically, they seem to be recommending the newly approved BioFire Respiratory Panel 2.1, that identifies 19 respiratory targets, including SARS-CoV-2, in one multiplex PCR test.
On March 17, 2021, FDA granted the first marketing authorization using the De Novo review pathway for the BioFire Respiratory Panel 2.1 (RP2.1) (PDF - 630 KB). The BioFire RP2.1 is for the simultaneous qualitative detection and identification of multiple respiratory viral and bacterial nucleic acids in nasopharyngeal swabs (NPS) obtained from individuals suspected of respiratory tract infections, including COVID-19.
It’s too late for all of this.
There is absolutely NOTHING this govt, the CDC, the WHO etc. can do to regain their credibility back with the People. They blew their wad and ain’t gettin’ back.
They have NO IDEA of the powder keg that they’re actually sitting on while playing with matches.
So this test they’ve been using since Feb. 2020 is incapable of distinguishing between the Wuhan Virus and the Influenza Virus? And, the incidence of Influenza Virus has plummeted to the lowest on record?
Hmmm. Seems to me we have a real issue here. If we take the official Gov’t stats on the Wuhan “Pandemic” and subtract from that the historical Influenza Infection rate, we have NO PANDEMIC AT ALL.
CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses.”
This explains why influenza has plummeted to the lowest level in human history
SO THE REASON THERE WAS NO FLU WAS BECAUSE IT WAS ALL LABELED AS COVID-19??????
They need to change the test. Too many vaccinated people are testing positive.
"They can differentiate. What the cdc is recommending is combining covid and flu tests in a panel that is ordered together, something many places have been doing for a while. PCR is very specific in differentiating between viruses." ~ Mom MD
