One of two Iowa prison nurses fired for accidentally giving dozens of inmates large overdoses of the coronavirus vaccine is appealing her termination, arguing she is “blameless” for the mix-up.
The Iowa Department of Corrections fired Amanda Dodson, a registered nurse at the maximum-security Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, after an investigation found 77 inmates received shots containing up to six times the recommended dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Dodson’s termination letter, obtained by The Associated Press through an open records request, blamed her for “improper COVID vaccination procedures” that resulted in inmates receiving overdoses on April 20.

Wow this is so scary
I thought more was better. That’s what they’re saying about masks. And lockdowns. And mandates.
guess they don't need a booster then...
Any deaths? If not, use them as blood donors.
OD on the rona shot? Still a covid death.
Well apparently they’re having problems getting supply of lethal injection serums for death row inmates, so maybe she’s just trying to help out.
She probably doesn’t know his to correctly calculate doses. IOW she didn’t pass arithmetic
Department spokesman Cord Overton said the agency expects its nurses to be able to read and follow instructions for administering vaccines to those under their care.
As is true for all nurses everywhere
She was just pushing the greatest medical experiment in human history a LITTLE too far. Can’t fault her for that, say all the modern Mengeles....
I've seen MANY vids where patients ask (or nurses do the vids on their own) that a new jab box be opened, instructions taken out, and unfolded. And unfolded and unfolded, as they are really compact folds of a very large thin sheet of paper.
The instructions are very simple - they have two words - "Intentionally Blank".
Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison. Good old Fort Madison. Used to be the home of Sheaffer Pens. A thousand people worked at the factory there once. Finally they closed it and moved production to communist China.
But because of the ink pens, and the State prison the local joke is that it was “pen city”.
When I was a med nurse you screw up anything or even see a MD order that’s wrong and end up administering sans catching the error, it’s your ass.
Thems the rules, don’t mess up even once. Can’t fathom giving six times the dosage over and over. Maybe the nurse had trouble with the little straight lines on the syringe? I wonder if she’d you know, get a taser and a gun mixed up?
