The FBI’s Other Sexual Scandal
For those who do not benefit from the FBI’s selective use of its power, the consistent tolerance of child predators (even within its own ranks) calls into question its legitimacy.
Cruising the streets of Moscow in his car, Lavrentiy Beria would occasionally direct his driver to stop so he could abduct a girl. As the head of Soviet Russia’s secret police, the NKVD, Beria savored his power to kidnap countless victims who he would rape in a specially constructed soundproof room. In 2011, workers excavating a common grave holding some of his victims found children’s skulls among the remains. But Beria returned most of his rape victims with a bouquet of roses as a gesture of sneering irony. Families, just grateful to have their children returned alive, would refrain from complaining to avoid even worse reprisals.
Just as we shudder at the thought of a secret police preying upon children, most Americans rest comfortable in the faith that our own FBI would never commit such heinous acts against children. And if a bad apple within the FBI were to do so, we desperately want to believe that the agency would root out and expel the criminal with a public denunciation as a message to others tempted to abuse their power.
Yet, for five years, FBI Agent David Harris committed a rampage of sexual crimes against a string of victims, some of whom were young children.
On June 24, the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit finally put a stop to his terrifying spree when it arrested him. Joining the arrest, the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General published a terse report admitting to the shocking facts. God bless the Louisiana state police who refused to be intimidated by the imprimatur of the FBI. Otherwise, Harris might still be marauding through vulnerable children.
These were not just teenage victims. Louisiana charged this FBI agent with “aggravated crimes against nature and indecent behavior with children under the age of 13.” What must it have been like for parents to learn that an FBI agent sexually violated their child? Did Harris’ FBI badge intimidate victims into silence?
The Justice Department, which failed to safeguard that notorious exploiter of children, Jeffery Epstein, also buried this news release about Harris on a Thursday afternoon. Few if any of the FBI-allied mainstream media reported on the shocking story. Similarly, I found no evidence that FBI Director Christopher Wray said anything to reassure victims and the public. It would have been nice if the director had used the occasion to state that the FBI does not tolerate sexual predators of children within its ranks. Wray’s silence sends exactly the wrong message as it may embolden other rogue agents to abuse their power.
Did the FBI fail to detect the serial sexual criminal among its ranks because it was incompetent? Or worse, does the FBI’s practice of silence and protection of its fellow agents extend even to the most heinous sexual crimes? Wray couldn’t be bothered to offer grieving families an explanation.
Wray, like Beria, knows that his survival and power are enhanced by pursuing the political enemies of his boss. Wray has eagerly embraced the ginned-up panic over phantom “white supremacists,” who supposedly pose the greatest threat to America. What is a white supremacist? Ask anyone falsely accused of racism: it’s defined by the accuser to fit their cynical political ends. Was Harris a “white supremacist?” Apparently not. So he remained free to brutalize children for five years.
This scandal appears to have been lost in the wake of the recent revelations regarding former USA Gymnastics physician Lawrence Gerard Nassar. On July 14, the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General released another report exposing the FBI’s inaction in response to firsthand complaints of horrifying sexual abuse of children. That report reveals the FBI protected Nassar by burying complaints about him dating back to 2015. In addition, the investigating agents fabricated victims’ accounts to protect the predator doctor.
We also learned early last year that the FBI sat on evidence of Jeffery Epstein’s child prostitution operation, allowing it to continue for years. Many rightly wonder what powerful clients Epstein would have named had he not died in Justice Department custody.
For those who do not benefit from the FBI’s selective use of its power, the consistent tolerance of child predators (even within its own ranks) calls into question the legitimacy of the organization as a law enforcement agency. Nobody elected Christopher Wray to his powerful office. So instead of serving the interests of justice, the FBI continues to use its power to protect predators inside the velvet rope of the upper-tier of the two-tier justice system. And it seems there’s nothing we can do. Wray breezily continued as FBI director through the 2020 election, after helping to cover up multiple scandals.
Like the Soviet families of Beria’s victims, we just have to swallow our outrage.

They executed Beria after Stalin’s death. Will the guilty in the FBI be held accountable or will they go Scott-free as most political criminals do in America?

I think the Constitution itself calls the FBI's legitimacy into question. In fact the Constitution calls into question the police power of every single government agency. The federal government does NOT HAVE a second amendment. There should be no armed federal agents outside of the military. ALL law enforcement should be state and local. The proof is in the pudding, FBI, ATF, need I say more?
It's time to shut down the anti American federal alphabet soup.

Accounts of what happened vary considerably, but it seems that Beria’s downfall was engineered by Nikita Khrushchev, secretary to the Party Central Committee, who quietly secured the support of other powerful figures, including Malenkov and a number of generals. On June 26th, apparently, at a hastily convened meeting of the Presidium, Khrushchev launched a blistering attack on Beria, accusing him of being a cynical careerist, long in the pay of British intelligence, and no true Communist believer. Beria was taken aback and said, ‘What’s going on, Nikita?’, and Khrushchev told him he would soon find out. The veteran Molotov and others chimed in against Beria and Khrushchev put a motion for his instant dismissal. Before a vote could be taken, the panicky Malenkov pressed a button on his desk as the pre-arranged signal to Marshal Zhukov and a group of armed officers in a nearby room. They immediately burst in, seized Beria and manhandled him away.
Beria’s men were guarding the Kremlin, so the officers had to wait until nightfall before smuggling him out in the back of a car. He was taken first to the Lefortovo Prison and subsequently to the headquarters of General Moskalenko, commander of Moscow District Air Defence, where he was imprisoned in an underground bunker. His arrest was kept as quiet as possible while his principal lieutenants were rounded up – some were rumoured to have been shot out of hand – and regular troops were moved into Moscow.
The Central Committee spent five days convincing itself of Beria’s guilt and R.A. Rudenko, an experienced prosecutor well known to Khrushchev, was appointed to make certain that the police chief was expeditiously tried, condemned and executed with the maximum appearance of legality. Pravda announced Beria’s fall on July 10th, crediting it to the initiative of Comrade Malenkov and referring to Beria’s ‘ criminal activities against the Party and the State’. On December 17th, Rudenko’s office announced that Beria and six accomplices, encouraged by foreign intelligence agencies, had been conspiring for many years to seize power in the Soviet Union in order to restore capitalism. A special tribunal was set up. The accused were allowed no representation and no appeal. When the death sentence was passed, according to General Moskalenko, Beria fell to the floor and begged on his knees for mercy. It was not a quality he had shown to others, and it was not now shown to him. He and his confederates were taken away and promptly shot. His wife and son were sent to a Siberian labour camp.

Nothing more than just another group of thugs looking out for themselves. Almost all the crime they do deal with ironically would never have happened in the first place without being fomented by them.

Anyone else suspect a prison suicide by the FBI agent? I mean suicide and fatal accidents have become a pretty common way to hush up federal official mistakes.

*****An absolutely damning Inspector General investigation of FBI conduct in the rape and sexual assault of U.S. Gymnasts reveals how FBI agents facilitated Nassar’s sex crimes by taking no action despite numerous witness statements to them.
Worse yet, the FBI never reported the sexual assaults to local law enforcement… and to top it off, the FBI agents lied during the investigation of their conduct, and the DOJ under AG Bill Barr refused to prosecute the FBI liars.
The entire IG report [Must Read pdf Here] reveals layer-upon-layer of FBI wrongdoing, misconduct and false statements in an effort to cover-up their activity when the internal investigation of their conduct began. This report is a total condemnation of the FBI rank and file. It really is quite stunning.
IG Report Excerpt – […] “The OIG found that, despite the extraordinarily serious nature of the allegations and the possibility that Nassar’s conduct could be continuing, senior officials in the FBI Indianapolis Field Office failed to respond to the Nassar allegations with the utmost seriousness and urgency that they deserved and required, made numerous and fundamental errors when they did respond to them, and violated multiple FBI policies.
The Indianapolis Field Office did not undertake any investigative activity until September 2nd, five weeks after the meeting with USA Gymnastics—when they telephonically interviewed one of the three athletes. Further, FBI Indianapolis never interviewed the other two gymnasts who they were told were available to meet with FBI investigators.
This absence of any serious investigative activity was compounded when the Indianapolis Field Office did not transfer the matter to the FBI office (the Lansing Resident Agency), where venue most likely would have existed had evidence been developed to support the potential federal crimes being considered, even though the Indianapolis office had been advised to do so by the USAO and had told USA Gymnastics that the transfer had occurred.
Additionally, the Indianapolis office did not notify state or local authorities of the sexual assault allegations even though it questioned whether there was federal jurisdiction to pursue them. As a result, the Lansing Resident Agency did not learn of the Nassar allegations until over a year after they were first reported to the FBI and then learned of them only from the MSUPD.
Moreover, the FBI conducted no investigative activity in the matter for more than 8 months following the September 2015 interview. During that period of time, as alleged and detailed in numerous civil complaints, Nassar’s sexual assaults continued.” (read full report)
Do not overlook this part:
The FBI responded to the IG report with this statement:
FBI Response to IG – “As the Inspector General made clear in today’s report, this should not have happened. The FBI will never lose sight of the harm that Nassar’s abuse caused. The actions and inactions of certain FBI employees described in the report are inexcusable and a discredit to this organization. The FBI has taken affirmative steps to ensure and has confirmed that those responsible for the misconduct and breach of trust no longer work FBI matters.
Prior to today, the FBI initiated improvements to make sure that serious allegations, such as these, are promptly shared with our law enforcement partners and within the FBI. As a continuation of these efforts, the FBI is fully committed to implementing all of the recommendations made by the Inspector General.
We will take all necessary steps to ensure that the failures of the employees outlined in the report do not happen again.” (link)

My wife is a former USA gymnastics team member and was treated by Larry Nassar. She was very involved with USA gymnastics up until only a few years ago. She sat in the courtroom during the victim impact statements against Nassar.
She is absolutely beside herself at this recent news.
The FBI is long-past due for a total dismantlement and for several of its leaders and members to stand trial for corruption and incitement of terrorism.
This has gone on for far too long...
