Herd immunity is theoretical. It may not be possible with this virus. Variants will continue to hit us every year. But hopefully we will be able to contain it to like 40,000 annual deaths rather than 600,000 last year.
If adults are vaccinated at 90% why is there a need for children to be vaccinated? I can’t remember which school was in a study, a recent article, but the covid positive children were infected by their parents not the other way around. NO infected parents, no infected children. Focus on the immunocompromised and genetically at risk.

That sounds half a** backwards. Spreading fast means more people are adding to herd immunity at an increased rate and we should reach herd immunity sooner...not later.

due to vaccinations. Of course, this
is just my humble opinion.

California hit herd immunity years ago. The liberal cancer quickly spread and is spreading quickly throughout America.
The only cure is to irradiate those infected to prevent further spread.
The good news is if they go back into lock down we’ll know where they are and they can’t fight back due to social distancing and they get winded easy due to mask wearing.
Maybe if Immunity Passports are offered to positive tested survivors of CoVID, the base source of herd immunity, you’ll get participation. You could also allow Immunity Passport to participants of the experimental genetic treatment, aka the ‘jab’, denoting ... or not. An Immunity Passport is much more valuable than a ‘Vaccine’ passport.
