Had delivery companies announced they would NOT endanger their delivery drivers’ health by requiring them to enter official hazard areas, the lockdowns would have ended abruptly when food and available fuel dried up.

I've heard that a typical city has enough food to last maybe five days without shipments coming in from outside. After that you get what's going on in South Africa.

Supplies wouldn’t last a day after an announcement about an embargo by suppliers.
