TACO BELL AND STARBUCKS WARN ABOUT SHORTAGES (supply chain)

Supply chain problems continue to plague the restaurant industry, leading big chains Taco Bell and Starbucks to warn consumers on Monday that some items may not be available.

Starbucks told customers on its app that “due to supply shortages, some items are temporarily unavailable.”

That echoed warnings that have persisted at the chain’s locations for months. Consumers have complained on social media channels about periodic shortages of items such as green tea.

At Taco Bell, customers are complaining about a lack of hot sauce. The Mexican fast-food chain’s website warns customers that not all items are available at the moment.

The company, owned by the Louisville, Ky.-based Yum Brands, blamed transportation problems for the shortages.

“Due to national transportation delays happening throughout most of the industry, we may be temporarily out of some items,” the company said in a statement. “Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope to feed fans’ current Taco Bell cravings again soon.”

Restaurants have faced shortages of everything from sauces to pickles to chicken wings in recent months due to a host of issues—including weather problems in Texas and intense demand from consumers coupled with supply limitations.

“At Taco Bell, customers are complaining about a lack of hot sauce.”

I’m not sure the rest of their menu is even edible without the sauce.

Green tea shortages have been known to rot previously vibrant cultures. A lack of hot sauce has precipitated wars. The US government must intervene quickly.

Several years ago, a dispute involving tea escalated into a major war.

I think it’s more than that my friend. I think we’re in a supply war and the media just hasn’t gotten around to telling us. It isn’t localized to Taco Bell. The shelves at my local Publix and Lowes are showing obvious gaps on the shelves.

And people still don’t understand this is the new normal…supply chains disrupted, production down across the board.

Well, Taco Bell can’t possibly be out of meat, they don’t use any.

In Demolition Man 1993 all restaurants are called Taco Bell , LOL

A buddy of mine had the European release. In that, all restaurants were Pizza Hut, with the change explained as; Europeans knew what a pizza was, but not so much a taco.

Taco Bell, Starbucks, and green tea.

Three things I never buy.

We got this guy, Not Sure.
He is the smartest guy in the world.
He is going to bring hot sauce back in just two weeks!

Starbucks still has a mask sign on their door, and their workers are Karens on roids.

There are other coffee shops nearby.

We all are facing shortages...the shelves in our grocery stores have been half empty for many months. Grocery shopping is like a 3rd world experience any more. If you want something you better buy 2 at least because when it runs out you can’t be sure it will ever be stocked again.
