Space tourism, then a lunar base. For our grandchildren a Martian base.

This is like asking when the first autos were being driven. I mean they were so expensive few could afford them. Just a fad.

Between Branson, SpaceX and now this we already have a new space race in the private sector.

Not dumb at all. American ingenuity, motivation and free enterprise are the engines that drive our magnificent nation. The possibilities are limited only by lack of imagination.
