A 35-year-old man was shot to death following a “heated” dispute over loud music at his Valley Glen apartment building over the weekend, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 2:40 a.m. in the 6800 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, according to an LAPD news release.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified him as Eduard Avetisyan.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the shooting transpired after what they described as a “heated neighbor dispute over loud music,” the release stated.
Derhovansian had confronted the victim, who lived in the unit above him, and demanded he come downstairs...

I think that the complainer shot the complainee, but the article does not make that clear.
I assume that there is no reason for the guy playing music too loud to "confront" the complainer.
The article says,
"Derhovansian had confronted the victim, who lived in the unit above him, and demanded he come downstairs."
So, if my assumption is correct, upstairs guy Avetisyan is playing the music too loud and is confronted by downstairs guy Derhovansian. Avetisyan goes downstairs and is shot and killed.
That's my guess, anyway.
I had a young black kid living next door with his mom. He’s about 25 or so and recently moved out.
He’s got dreads, gold teeth, lots of tattoo’s. He tries to pull off the thug routine but he just can’t do it, although he does smoke way too much dope.
He’s just too nice of a kid. Amazingly in the 6 or so years he lived next door, I only heard loud music one time. I think maybe it was his mom. Summer Dreams by Kool and the Gang. There’s a rule that the song must be played loud and it’s one of my favorites.

I live in LA area, and I’ve noticed Armenians are NOT popular. I’ve heard bitter complaints about them, people moving away and saying it was just because of the Armenians, people taking their kids out of schools with Armenians in them, etc. For some reason, they are not well-liked people.
I guess that ends the loud music problem on that block.
When I lived in Hollywood we used to go to the Von’s Market on Sunset. Then we went there one week and it had been renamed “Rons”. The clerks were all Armenians and were very rude and made it clear that they didn’t want any Anglos there. We never went again.
My landlord was an Iraqi who had come to the US with his family. He made a big point that they were NOT Armenians but were Assyrian Christians. A BIG point. LOL. They hated getting lumped in with welfare cheats.
Though that family did introduce us to the wonderful Mideast pastries they cooked up at Christmas time. Really wonderful.

People in S. CA are so laid back.
Going to LA County is like walking into the U.N. cafeteria, and like the U.N. they all hate America and white folk. I think the only reason most come here is the handouts and freebies.
Most of those people are in debt up to their eyeballs. Same with the entire West LA area.
