I couldn’t imagine just sitting there having a conversation when I should be approaching the scene. Neither could I. How could anyone think that reporting the accident had a higher priority than trying to save a life? The wife could handle phoning 911.

So we’re just going to sit there and not go check on the occupants of the vehicle? I know some people freeze up but come on. Not a single person thought I should go see if if they could do something.

This sort of stuff sure takes me back to younger days working the road. A lot of it becomes so mundane that you don’t really remember it. But, there are some that just stick out.
