My company uses a third party with a app installed into our company IPhones & vehicles.

Gives real time to when we are driving, speed and speed limits noted by Street View, where we are at any time, when stopped, when parked, when vehicle is turned off, when making turns too fast, braking limits, acceleration limits, travel time between stops and idling when parked.

Since on a company phone, blocks phone use when the vehicle is moving. Prevents incoming and out going phone calls & text when vehicle is moving.

The app is called Truce.

Do not know the third party's name through I have talked to their Geeks about a 911 call being blocked (hung up 3 times). The event was documented when my driving error of going from 70mph to Zero in seconds logged.

They denied that they blocked three 911 calls.

That sounds like an interesting fleet management tool. I need an app for one phone — my own. Suppose I drive from New York to Los Angeles with my iPhone map on the entire time. I want to download that data after my trip is over and then go back (for example) and find out how long it took me to get from Wheeling, West Virginia to Indianapolis on I-70.

That’s all I need. I’ll be getting terabytes of data in the future that will tell me this for every trip made by a fleet of vehicle owners between these two points (or any other two points) in July 2021, in December 2018, etc.

I just to use MY data for now as I am building the tools to do this.

This can’t be difficult. I have the iPhone, it tracks my location continuously, and the data has to be available somewhere. My Garmin GPS lets me do it, and it’s at least 12 years old.

We used to have similar in our trucks but old school. Qualcomm with GPS on both tractors and trailers. And of course the hardwired text tablet in the truck for the dispatchers to bug the drivers all the time. They would not even let them get their legal sleep. We used to see them hanging out the passenger window all the time when a driver was trying to sleep.

It was kind of cool in one aspect though, I could monitor the engine computers while a tractor was going down the road, and monitor the temps on the reefer trailers. But we had almost all the same capabilities for parameters which the terminal computer application deciphered. We had a running record of speed, miles driven, idle times, shut offs, engine operating parameters, etc.

But man... That is out of hand OCD you are dealing with from your company driver...
