Vigilante justice is much better than no justice at all
Happens every weekend night in Chicago - maybe the thugs got the idea from this case.
I’m sure that this same sort of thing has happened so many times it shouldn’t be that surprising. It’s not just ‘western justice’ - been done everywhere.
I didn’t see nuthin’.
Yup
McElroy raped a 12-year-old girl and, to avoid statutory rape charges, he divorced his wife at the time and married the child when she was 14 – and pregnant with their baby. McElroy burned down the girl’s home and shot her family’s dog to force her parents to agree to the marriage.

Some people really do deserve killing.
Sounds like the neighborhood finally took out the local trash. Good riddance. When the law doesn’t protect innocent decent law-abiding citizens, then the innocent decent law-abiding citizens need to re-define what the law is. And settle affairs accordingly.
My first thought, too.
Ken McElroy died in a hail of gunfire
When the legal system fails, the community must do what is best for the safety and well-being of the community.

One of them is dead.
The other incident in that town was when a woman killed a pregnant mother and cut out the baby from her. The baby survived.
That’s the way it goes here in rural MO from what I’m told. We have very little law enforcement. No fancy crime labs. Things run they way they have for 2-3 hundred years. Seems to be cost effective too.
When I was 19 and working construction, I was fortunate enough to hear one ex-convict tell another ex-convict that very thing. The one asked the other why he killed that man at the bar? The other one said, "he needed killing." Because of my sheltered upbringing I was scandalized at the time. But the truth will set you free, as they say.
In my introspection through the years, I have thought of the various reasons and circumstances that I could take a life. Protect my wife, daughter, granddaughter or even any other human being. The older I get the more clarity there is.
This is the first I’ve ever heard of this particular case… But the outcome is perfect.
Cause of death was COVID. He was ahead of his time.
