The character on the show is a theoretical physicist at Cal Tech. He has autism spectrum disorder (though an IQ of 187) and that's one of his signature lines, about a particular place on the sofa in his apartment.

That’s Sheldon Cooper from the show, “Big Bang Theory”. One of his pet peeves, of which he had many, is seating assignments. He was very protective of HIS spot.
