OT.....boy do I have problems....just cracked my lap top screen.....now having to use hubby’s...anybody have any exp in replacing a screen by ones self?
Look for a youtube on replacing the screen on your model, you might get
lucky.
It helps to know where to pry, have the right tools, take lots of pics as you
go to help in reassembly, have little trays to organize all the different sized
screws, etc, and know where any tape is that has to be pried loose, and
how…
If you haven’t attempted something like it before, it might be worth
paying $50-$100 labor, plus the screen cost for an experienced laptop
tech to do it for you.

If you have a spare monitor around, it may connect to your laptop. If you don't you can probably pick one up at a pawn or re-use store for 10-15 bucks. As long as you don't have to be portable it's a decent fix.
