They were not overdosing on trytpophan.
They were overdosing on the drug MDMA, ecstacy.
They were also taking tryptophan, a normal amino acid, along with the mdma to enhance the effects. The mdma was what they were overdosing on.

Nothing in medicine or life is perfect. Nothing.
The risk of death from vaccination is a tiny fraction of the risk of death from Covid.
