Um, no. That is not quite correct. I wish it were.
“Large numbers of people would rather YOU die than change their worldview.” See the difference? They don’t give a crap about you or your posterity, or the children.
And this is the problem. “Your death, before their dishonor”, as it were.
It is both, in some cases.
People, in general, have a very difficult time changing their worldview. They built their life around that worldview.
It takes a "Paul on the road to Damascas" type event to change it, in most cases.
