The effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine against the Delta variant is “weaker” than health officials hoped, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Friday, as 855 people tested positive for coronavirus and more countries were listed as places of high infection.
“We do not know exactly to what degree the vaccine helps, but it is significantly less,” Bennett said.
The prime minister held a meeting of top health officials and ministers to discuss the next steps for managing the virus in light of the numbers in Israel and what Bennett described as “the Delta mutation leaping forward around the world, including in vaccinated countries such as Britain, Israel and the US.”

I don’t see any chance of another lockdown. Even if the vaccinated do contract the Delta variant, they’re protected from serious illness. Everyone (99.8%) dying of covid these days are the unvaccinated.
The vaccinated are protected, and the unvaccinated don’t care, so no reason to shut down.

My sister had Covid and the doctor recommended she get Pfizer.

We were just at my wife’s doctor for a routine visit and he claimed the opposite. And he asked me why I haven’t

This is medical malpractice — too damn late for a so called “vaccine” which will further weaken her immune system.
She needs a proven anti-viral therapeutic — HCQ or IVM.
50 people are in serious condition. 60% of 50 is 30.
I have been fully vaccinated(Pfizer) since April, and last month I came down with a moderate cold. Usual common cold symptoms, sniffles, sneezing, cough, no biggie. Just a cold and drank a lot of orange juice and had chicken soup.
Felt normal after 5 days, the moderate cough lingered for another week.
Here’s the bottom line:
Which is less harmful in terms of dealing with Delta in terms of severity of infection or tge possibility of dying?
To risk the vaccine, or to risk the virus without the vaccine?
Life is all about balancing risks and benefits.
