Scuba diving is more dangerous than the sharks.

He did battle against Klingons, Romulans, a molten rock monster, advanced intelligence who had no physical bodies but immense intelligent brains, and many other adversaries. So he’s got what it takes to face down the sharks.

That guy has the most incredible work ethic of any human who has ever lived.
He’s 90 and could probably to to a typical SF convention and bed half of the women there if he wanted.
He did work for a travel company on spec -in exchange for stock - and made out like a bandit. (and making out with Nichelle Nicoles was a fantasy for more than just me, back in the day...)
Shows no signs of slowing down. He’s pretty much done whatever he wanted to do and gotten paid for it...
How many people tweet to the ISS and get a reply back!
An incredible person.

Big fan of Shatner. The man is hilarious.
With Shatner being 90 the sharks swimming could be serving a dual purpose; he wants to overcome his fear of sharks and if it goes wrong he can avoid a lingering death from old age.
When I get up there in age and my body stats failing I may do something similar.
