Pittsburgh Steelers' Dwayne Haskins injured by wife, who faces a domestic violence charge, reports say

The wife of Dwayne Haskins faces a domestic violence charge stemming from an alleged assault involving the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback that occurred in a Las Vegas hotel room earlier this month, according to multiple reports.

Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins faces a felony charge of battery and domestic violence resulting in bodily harm stemming from the alleged altercation on July 3 at The Cosmopolitan.

According to reports, Gondrezick-Haskins is accused of punching Haskins in the mouth, and other injuries Haskins reportedly suffered were "substantial in nature."

Haskins, 24, had a split upper lip and a missing tooth, and he suffered other injuries to his mouth that would require dental work to repair his teeth, according to reports.

Police were called to the hotel around 2:30 a.m. PT, according to reports, and Haskins was taken to the hospital for the facial injury.

Gondrezick-Haskins told police, according to reports, that the pair married in March and were in Las Vegas to celebrate with friends and renew their vows. At some point in the evening, there was an argument that escalated when she allegedly hit Haskins in the mouth.

Haskins, according to reports, said he remembered getting into a fight with his wife but didn't remember getting punched in the mouth. In searching the room, officers found a piece of tooth and blood, per reports.

Haskins, a former first-round pick by the Washington Football Team in 2019, signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in January in hopes of reviving his NFL career.

Didn't know Haskins was married. But he probably deserved to get his @$$ beaten by his woman.

I’m a Redskins fan. Haskins is a POS who puts himself above the team. He’s not coachable. Refuses to follow the rules. COVID-19 rules are stupid but he went to a strip club during the “pandemic” so he got in trouble for that. Redskins started winning when Alex Smith (with one good leg) started at QB and took them to the playoffs.

He got lucky this time. Next time, that won't be the case.

The Skins drafted him #15 overall, and didn't even keep him for a year. Not too smart. I don't think they were smart to sign Alex Smith.

Now they had a quarterback who reach 4,000 yard three years in a row with a terrible team and no true #1 receiver. One of those years he basically got 5,000 yards. And, for the last six years he played 16 games. One of those years he played 15 games.

Apparently the skins don't want a good quarterback. They had one who was consistent and stayed healthy and they couldn't get him out of town fast enough.

Crappy owner. Crappy franchise. But Ron Rivera is turning things around (at least for the time being). Bad luck with Alex Smith. He broke his leg just like Joe Theismann did. That's football. You just never know on any given Sunday.

Uhhh ... Looking at the photo, she may just have turned around really fast, and knocked him off his feet.

Huh? Is renewing the vows a few months after the marriage actually a thing?

Alex Smith is a good guy, but he was never an NFL caliber quarterback. But that injury was brutal, and I admire the way he came back.

Why didn’t they keep Cousins?

Why didn’t they keep Cousins?

He was asking for over 20 million dollars per year so Redskins thought he was not worth the money.

I still think they’d have been better off keeping Cousins.

Alex Smith was not worthy of being the first pick in the draft, which is where the 49ers took him. That said, he was certainly an NFL caliber QB, and at his peak was better than many of the guys who will start in the NFL next year.
