I’ve recently worked for two retired 4 stars, one Air Force and the other Army. They are 100% political creatures - you don’t get that 4th star by merit, you get it by knowing who to suck up to.

In all the years (⩪40) I worked in the defense industry I was always amazed at the number of officer leftists I met.
