They are calculating the risk of getting COVID-19 during a limited time window, based on a particular prevalence during that time. it is mostly risk of exposure.
Eventually, most everyone will be exposed to COVID-19.
This month for example, the risk is rising.
What is consistent however, is the strong protection that the vaccines provide, when you are in fact exposed to the virus. Vaccine protection from death from the virus, is approaching 100%.
That is why more than 99% of those now dying of COVID-19 in the USA are unvaccinated, even though the unvaccinated are a minority of adults.
You have 99.97 chance to survive Covid without the non-FDA approved experimental gene therapy.
It is admitted that taking the experimental gene therapy does not prevent you from getting covid. So it only increases your chance by .01 or .02 at best.

That is the math, of over 99% protection.
Unless you are too dishonest and/or ignorant to accept reality.
More will die tomorrow, and again the next day, and the next - overwhelmingly people whose lives would have been saved by vaccination.
In a month or two, more will die needlessly, who were dissuaded from getting vaccinated this month.
Thosee numbers are too high.

There are threads on both sides. Usually those who are less inclined to support vaccines are quick to admonish not to high jack the thread and generally demonstrate scorn and disdain for those with a “contrary” interpretation. In this thread, which supports vaccination, the same folks who act with scorn and derision with whom people might disagree, come here and act with scorn and derision.
The data can be interpreted in a number of ways. I think that there are some clear kernels of truth within the data that are out there. If you want to discuss those, I am happy to. Please see my tagline.
Think of it the risk assessment this way.
If the mRNA gene therapy turns out to be relatively safe, then later on the same people that wanted to wait it out the human trials can still go get it.
If they are right that the mRNA is deadly, then they will still be alive.
So the question is which do people value more. Do they value their lives or do they value their jobs?
What’s disturbing is that if you are injured there is no liability. Plus insurance companies will not pay your medical bills because they said you took an experiment non-FDA approved therapy.
Finally, I have never seen such a hard push, threats, etc... You have to admit that is abnormal, and makes you wonder what is really happening?
Well, the scorn & derision is robust on both sides — the arrogance, however, is certainly unbalanced.
And these daily info blurbs exclude critical variables such as climate and seasonal trends.

In the real world, it has repeatedly been measured to do just that, with a high degree of effectiveness, in strictly controlled scientific studies, with tens of thousands of participants, as well as as across well over a hundred million Americans. Maybe you missed those details, and got your numbers from some gut on twitter.
So I agree that we need to look at everything in due course. What I am seeing right now in several major hospitals in a large metro is a lot more CoVID hospitalization. It is trending toward the younger to middle ageish and the unvaccinated. I would say that the actual number of hospitalized vaccinated are about 1 - 2 % of what we are seeing with the overwhelming majority being unvaccinated.
In my judgment, if vaccinated are getting the disease, and there seems to be an increase in breakthrough, it is NOT progressing to severe disease. This is what was expected.

It is a daily posting of the data (Vaccinations, cases, hospitalizations and deaths) from the authoritative source (CDC).
Anti-vaccine people seem to hate that, and personally attack me daily for posting objective data.
