A burglar who climbed through the window of a second-story apartment building in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood was shot at by the resident, who then held the man at gunpoint until police arrived, police said Friday.

The burglary on Tuesday ended with no injuries.

Police said Danny Babineaux, 37, climbed through the kitchen window of an apartment on the 1600 block of Folsom Street belonging to a 66-year-old man, who heard noises and went to investigate. When the victim saw Babineaux, he grabbed a handgun and opened fire — but none of the bullets struck the intruder, police said.

The crime victim will be very lucky not to face charges by SF's deranged, Soros-backed district attorney.

Prediction: the criminal will be released without charges and the homeowner will be arrested, charged, and convicted.
