I wasn't try to equate Tienanmen Square with January 6th...not at all. There is no comparison...other than both events were motivated by a legitimate anger over denial of basic rights.

As for Cuba...I can't say I'm optimistic. Far too many there depend on the government.

Well, I was a bit tongue-in-cheek about Jan 6.

But I will say that I don’t see much evidence that America has the intestinal fortitude to stage anything like Tiananmen Square. Jan 6 was nothing like that. And so many Republicans have been apologizing for Jan 6 ever since. We are a cowed people.
