Mexican adults are crossing the border again and again in attempts to reach the U.S.
LA Times ^ | JULY 12, 2021 | KATE MORRISSEY

Twenty-four hours a day, adults with scuffed shoes and dusted pant legs file out of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry — sometimes alone and sometimes in groups — into Tijuana’s streets.

Many stop to charge their phones in the little plaza that receives southbound pedestrian traffic. Some hang around for hours, unsure of where to go next after their plans of reaching the United States have failed.

Most are Mexican men. And for most, this is not the first time they’re finding themselves abruptly returned to Mexico, expelled under a pandemic policy known as Title 42 from the country where they hoped to sneak in...

Since April 2020, the number of monthly apprehensions by Border Patrol has increased to a peak not seen since the spring of 2000. And despite the focused attention on unaccompanied children and families from Central America, the largest demographic group driving that increase is adults from Mexico traveling alone.

Part of the reason that border crossers are able to try so many times is Title 42, the policy that the Trump administration put in place at the beginning of the pandemic and that the Biden administration has maintained. It gives border officials the power to immediately expel people they apprehend back to Mexico or to their countries of origin.

For border crossers who aren’t trying to request asylum, the policy removes some of the consequences they would have otherwise faced for crossing multiple times. Illegal reentry is a federal felony and can come with up to two years in federal prison — or a decade or more if the individual has a certain criminal history. Under Title 42, rather than refer repeat crossers for prosecution, agents are generally sending them back again and again and again.

Checking out the Cuban crisis, I realized, how huge is the border problem NOW. The whole Marielos (Sp) crisis during Carter era let into USA total only 125,000 Cubans. It was highly reported as major crisis.
Now this number is achieved every month of Resident residency.
Somehow it is not problem now!

What? Only Mexicans??? We are use to Mexicans, but the big money in trafficking is not the Mexicans, its the so called refugees who are coming here to bring what they left behind. Kinda like Californians and NY’ers coming to FLA?

If there’s no real penalty for trying to cross, why wouldn’t they try to leave their current hellhole? Time to make it cost something to try and sneak into the US. How about a 2” tattoo on their forehead with “II” (Illegal Immigrant)? Anyone caught a second time with II on their forehead gets sent to a Joe Arpaio-like tent prison to work on a chain gang fixing roads in the southern US. Helps curb illegal immigration and helps repair a sagging road infrastructure...win/win.

The LA Slimes is inaccurate in their reporting. The do so by omission. Yeah, Mexicans are the largest percentage of illegals, but the Slimes does not report about the tens of other counties represented in illegal border crossings. Muslims from Africa and the Middle East are a large percentage in aggregate, but minuscule taken country by country.

They aren’t doing it right. Cross over as a day laborer and don’t go back home at 5 pm.

Can’t Mexicans enter the USA legally and remain for 90 days? Isn’t that the reciprocal agreement Canada, Mexico and the United States have? You have to show proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate, passport or naturalization papers.

So the only explanation as to why these people didn’t just go through the border crossing is they had illegally entered in the past or overstayed the 90 day limit.

Is this correct?

NO BORDER PROTECTION WALLS TORN DOWN
What are the effects? Conservative news sources better be reporting Criminal activity and costs to the locality caused by those who should be referenced as the INVADERS because the term “illegals” has been banned.THEN RAISE THE ISSUE IF AMERICANS WERE DOING THIS TO MEXICO WHAT WOULD HAPPEN ?? ALSO POINT OUT THE 2ND CLASS TREATMENT AMERICANS GET IN MEXICO
It is time we reassert our; pardon my using what that one worlder’s call a cussword, SOVEREIGNTY, and consider applying RECIPROCITY. Give the the same treatment an American gets in Mexico The Demorat party ignores what any any citizen of America gets in Mexico .Illegal or legal enty by a Gringo ?No Mexican tax money goes into free legal assistance, paid motel rooms for sneaking in, or subsidized living as well as free medical assistance all not being paid at the expense of the average struggling working tax paying Mexicans .

.Our border with Mexico has always been contentious not only with smugglers but on ocassion with Mexican bandits and military using Mexican Claims ,Allowing potential hostiles to the US property ownership to happen in those states could lead to serious problems in the future. There are constant claims that crop up by Mexican politicians that some of our southwestern states are Mexican territory.
.What Yahoo and CNN and the alphabetical swill mills won’t report this; Here’s aMexican Senator who recently said Mexico should take back states;
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-mews/3754791/posts Mex House speaker http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3756257/posts

Worse yet Huge ammounts of taxpayers funds are being given to illegals through taxes which are being passed on to our children’s children along with jobs which should be going to black Americans property ownership by illegal (another word banned ) is used in states which Mexico has previously claimed espcially Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and of course California .That could be used to support any reclaiming effort should regime changes in Mexico arise . Our border with Mexico has always been contentious not only with smugglers but on ocassion with Mexican bandits and military problems which General Black Jack Pershing put down.

What never gets mentioned is that 2nd class treatment Americans get in Mexico in all of this Our allowing the hordes illegally entering the US through the Mexican border and granting them rights American cannot recieve in Mexico even when legally migrating there. We have avoided recognizing and dealing with the 2nd class treatment that American citizens get which is in their constitition while legally residing in Mexico. That includes denial of voting privileges but employment, and land ownership in their name.

.It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally and meet US citizenship requirements.

. If we applied that reciprocal policy . Would that continue ? By.prohibiting and strictly enforcing existing laws prohibiting any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges fully enforced these problems would drop loke a rock. .In other words Once we remove the incentives to Sneak into this country before expulsion no job no voting no landowning this stuff would stop.
