"In earlier studies, she found that the daughters of mothers exposed to the highest DDT levels while pregnant had elevated rates of breast cancer, hypertension and obesity...Cohn's newest study, on the exposed women's grandchildren, documents the first evidence that DDT's health effects can persist for at least three generations. The study linked grandmothers' higher DDT exposure rates to granddaughters' higher body mass index (BMI) and earlier first menstruation, both of which can signal future health issues."

It also has a rough chronological coincidence with the widespread use of estrogenic oral contraceptives.

Just sayin'...

That's one way to shut down this study.

Look up Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome - PCOS (also know as Poly-Cystic Ovarian Disease -PCOD). It's an endocrine issue in women. It can really screw things up. Millions are affected by it. Weight gain that has nothing to do with intake/activity - metabolism all shot to hell, hirsuteness, infertility, and other issues. I also think there is a link between PCOS and autism spectrum issues. But that's just a personal observation. Nothing scientific about it. There are studies possibly linking low vitamin D in women to spectrum disorders in children as well.
