CXCVS BUVJPAZ PR U NIVH IN OCUJK, UR CXCVS VCMAPIA PR U JSBC IN KCUXCA. —JVSIA COEUVOR
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
From the Arkansas Democrat Gazette
Solve it in
4 minutes is good
3 minutes excellent

This is a deep thinker..
Another of his- Facts are God’s arguments; we should be careful never to misunderstand or pervert them.
My bad, I stand corrected. When I solved it yesterday I got the correct answer, but I redid it this morning in a hurry to post it. Sorry.
I just noticed because when I solved it I first instinctively put that name in...after a few secs I thought, strange there’s that famous guy with almost the same name...oh, duh!
No, your instincts are correct. When I post the solutions I go to https://www.quipqiup.com/ to get a “clean copy”, but I have to check, because it does things like that. (What you saw.) I was rushing just a bit this morning.
Not to belabor this, but either solution is a valid solution to the cryptogram. I generally google the quote and check when I am not sure. Your solution is correct, in that it identifies the correct author.

No worries, we’re good... ;)
I’ll have to get back to West Virginia one of these days...
I’m not familiar with the author...first name a town in North Carolina...
Did I screw up?
Not at all! Lonesome made a small mistake in his solution of yesterday’s cryptogram. First name of the author.
