Hahaha...I was teaching a bunch of residents earlier this week, and in an attempt to make a humorous point, I said “Did you ever see the movie “Caddyshack”?
And they all looked at me blankly shaking their heads from side to side...
One of the first times I felt...old!
Reminded me of the time a physician teaching me asked if I had ever seen one of the Marx Brothers movies, and I shook my head blankly from side to side...:)
My residents never get my references to airplane. It is depressing.
At the end of a code a few years ago the ICU charge came up and said the patient qualified for the massive transfusion protocol. I replied “make it so number 1”’and just got a blank stare. I then said “engage”. got an even blanket stare. I actually had to say ok initiate protocol as I felt older than dirt…..
