That would be my guess.

When the "brilliant" Adlai Stevenson was running for president his college transcript was kept locked in a file cabinet in the office of the president of Harvard.

JFK was running for president when I arrived here to work on my masters degree in engineering. IDK about his IQ, but he was one of the most charismatic on TV interviews with a wonderful sense of humor during his presidency. I enjoyed watching his frequent news events with the media.

JFK also got a tax-cut passed (for businesses) which helped recover from the recession in 1962.
