At 3:50pm PST felt a serious 4.8 earthquake here in Sacramento. The house rocked, the pond sloshed, internet went down briefly, no damage noted.
The US Geological Survey shows the quake I felt was preceded thirty seconds earlier by a 5.9 in nearby Nevada. It is possible that the Nevada quake triggered the quake in California.
This was today about 15 minutes ago. My chickens went batshit crazy a little while before the quake. The neighborhood is now eerily quiet.
That was in Stockton? Wow! I felt the roll here in Walnut Creek!
The 4.1 in Wyoming on the 4th and the 4.1 in Montana 2 days later was interesting this week.

Sorry about the mislabel of the link - I’m a little flustered right now.
Scrambled eggs tomorrow for breakfast. 😀
Thanks so much for posting. Health/life bump!
Feeling no pain in San Rafael, Ca.
then about a half-dozen small ones on the NV border south of Carson City
I am in Placerville and the house sounded like it was going to fall. Really fast though. Not even a second.
I live about 20 miles from Stockton. Just a little jiggling here for a few seconds. Hanging lights swayed a bit. That’s all I felt.
Belated WELCOME ABOARD!!
thanks, bigbob
Thank you but I’ve actually been here since 2004. Had to get a new account as my old account posed issues for me at work.
I felt it here near Sacramento. Kitten was attacking my foot at the time and got scared ran off.
Jim Ladd on SXM said he felt it from “high in the Hollywood hills”
6.2 in Reno
“Scrambled eggs tomorrow for breakfast.”
Strain 3 mixed eggs. Throw the lumpy stuff away.
Put a teaspoon of cornstarch in a tablespoon of water and make a slurry. Add to eggs.
Toss in a 1/4 cup of grated or shredded parmesan cheese.
Add a bit of chipped cold butter.
Cook over low heat. Halfway through, add a teaspoon or two crème fraîche and blend in.
Cook slowly. Take off when still moist.
Yum!
