I live in the Kansas City area and our evening news specifically said the outbreak started in Branson, MO.
It's a big tourist attraction, Silver Dollar City (aka Steal Your Dollar City) brings in lots of people.

what indications do we have that southwest MO is targeted?
I notice Springfield MO the covid Delta is the highest in the country with 30 something people in two hospitals there. likely those that trusted our government IE: experimented with their own body.

I suspect that much of this is related to Branson Mo. People visit Branson from all over the world. Lots of venues/entertainment for community spread events. And lots of them pass through Springfield on the way.
It would be easy to send in people to deliberately spread this — but I’ve really not seen any proof of it. It was Reagan Country for sure, and still pretty Red and lots of social conservatives in that area. So there’s that.
Another Freeper who works at the Hospital, said the hospitals are full and they are having to ship people to other cities. The hospital dr. she talked to said the people being admitted have had the vaccine.
He also said they are sicker than the ones he admitted last year. Not sounding good.
While the hospitals there are decent, it is not unusual for them to also have to ship patients to St. Louis for more advanced treatments that are not available there.
My nieces and nephews as well as hubby’s all live in that area and some of my cousins as well. Prayers up for all the people impacted by these diseases and injections.
