Oh me...where to start?
I think I’ll be in lurker mode for a while. I’m not leaving. I will have my eye on you all. I will be following the Q thread even though I don’t understand most things Q. I love the self help posts about alternative meds and about natural remedies.
The posts we discussed about my way of life made me see that most people don’t live like I do. My community and the people have been very sheltered. Even on our community Facebook page we have to remind each other that we are not normal compared to the rest of the country and world. When I was working in the big city I was more aware but now that I have been retired for 8 years I sometimes let my guard down. I’m proud of my community and our way of life but I have come to realize that there are a lot on the other side that would like nothing better than to destroy it, and us.
I’m not naïve about the world but sometimes I feel too comfortable and post things that I shouldn’t because even Free Republic is not a “nice” place anymore. As long as we can’t edit or remove a stupid post, I probably won’t post. The Q group is mostly good people. The main forum is no better than DU and other liberal cesspools IMO. Free Republic has been morphing into something that is not nice. Still, it is the only place we have left to read conservative news even though it’s getting more difficult to weed out the trash but I appreciate that we have it. Still, it needs work to move it into at least the 20th century.
So, while I love you guys (and gals) and all that you do, I’m lying low. My hope is that all of you that want to can find the place and way of life that I enjoy. Don’t lose heart. There are still a lot of people out there willing to stand up and fight for this country but they are quiet, as I should be from now on. LOL I can still be reached by PM.
Passing the buck to others to fight for the cause of freedom is unacceptable. I suggest you read the Book of ESTHER. Everyone is accountable for their action or inaction.
Also, this is no laughing matter.
