Nearly eight decades later, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter are still together in the same tiny town where they were born, grew up and had that first outing. In between, they’ve traveled the world as Naval officer and military spouse, American president and first lady, and finally as human rights and public health ambassadors.

That’s an odd way to express their marriage. Is that some woke jargon or something?

A loving lasting marriage is a precious thing. I can lay politics aside and honor that.

I’m sorry, but I see a lot of insincerity with them. Never mind the AP’s spin.
If they won’t lay aside Marxist politics (which seeks “abolition of the family” as a prime tenet), I cannot lay aside defense of the Constitution and the Republic in face of whatever attacks may still be coming from these two.
Carter had a penchant for forgiving America’s enemies when it wasn’t solicited, sighting the teachings of Jesus. However, forgiveness from Jesus was contingent on repentance.
‘Go and sin no more,’ was replaced by, ‘I forgive you for what you did, have a nice day!’

I'll bet that interview made his wife feel just spiffy.
Yes the three way partnership. Jimmah Rosalynn and that swamp rabbit.
I have especially trouble with his views on Israel, but there is something they have together that is good. He did a press conference regarding his cancer diagnosis a few years back, and he smiled through it. There is something special about him, no matter how flawed he is (as I am too in many ways).

Me too. I had some elderly friends that made 75 years. It’s truly an awesome accomplishment
Very strange he would have ever agreed to an interview with playboy. That, alone, makes me question his competency.
