You hate to lose an Election, but if Trump had won Dems would have had a huge year in 2022.

Life is funny that way. Take Robert Bork....many conservatives still lament his railroading and Kennedy's ascent. And to be fair, abortion MAY have been repealed if he'd been on the bench (or maybe the liberals would have blocked Casey being heard).

Buuuuuut...Bork wasn't exactly always right. For example his writings on the 2nd Amendment suggest he could have gone against Heller. That'd be a disaster.

AND Bork died during Obama's term while Kennedy was replaced by Kavanaugh (who looks like Kennedy but he's not Merrick Garland).

So, in a twisted way, maybe Kennedy was a blessing in disguise. And, perhaps, Trump lit a fire that'd have been extinghished in his second term.
