Not completely. NY Times: 11 Arrested in Armed Roadside Standoff in Massachusetts The men, who wore military-style gear and claimed to be “foreign nationals,” were part of an hourslong standoff with police officers.

Mass is so strict that hunters travelling from NY to the forests of Maine have to apply for a permit to pass through Mass with their rifles. So these guys were breaking the law by parading around with their weapons.

Reviewing MA’s gun laws, that seems to be the case. An alternate approach might have been for police to swarm the area and just sit...and watch. And keep watching. And photograph.

Thanks. Still sounds vague. They assert laws were broken but provide no specifics (Statute). This group doesn’t seem to agree with what the police are saying about them (e.g. “anti-government & laws”). I don’t know MA law but this is suspicious.
