A New Orleans-based FBI agent arrested last week on numerous sexual misconduct charges involving children is now being held without bond in Ascension Parish jail.
David Harris, 51, appeared in court Thursday morning for a bail hearing. Court records show the judge ordered him held without bond.
Harris, who lives in Prairieville, was involved in multiple criminal acts involving adults and children across the state since at least 2016, according to the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit and the U.S. Department of Justice, which began investigating the agent after fielding a complaint about him in February.
Harris was an FBI special agent assigned to the New Orleans Field Office. His job most recently focused on investigating crimes against children, including child pornography, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter.
FBI spokeswoman Lori Grice declined to release specifics about his most recent job assignment, saying only that the agency is aware of the charges against Harris and is “fully cooperating in this matter.”
In addition to the case in Ascension Parish, Harris faces charges in East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes.

I was thinking something like that too. But if the guy is gay (don’t know either way in this case), they cannot be allowed near that work. Beyond that, hard to screen out people who might be vulnerable, beyond the usual means. Best thing to do is watch them very closely both inside and outside of work. I’ve always thought that if your job involves sensitive work, you should have the option of taking it with higher pay, but no privacy at all (even at home), or not taking it in the first place (not just these people, but others with Top Secret, etc.). If that’s done, then a person’s lifestyle can be watched and if something looks funny - like buying a mansion in VA on $100k a year, that can immediately be investigated - rather than waiting until all our Soviet assets are dead (which happened).

Sounds to me like another FBI sham setup operation. These guys go in to create crimes. Sometimes (most times) they seem to participate in the same criminal behavior they supposedly are investigating.
We need to demand of the next Republican president to disband the FBI. There is really no more corrupt organization in government than that. Top to bottom Hannity.

I don’t think the “establishment” will have much of a choice going into the future. I’ve noticed one thing in life for almost every situation, it always looks darkest just before things turn around. That’s the history of America and her people, we’re a very tollerant people and will put up with a lot to keep the peace, but when pushed just shade to far we snap back with a vengence. In fact we see that snap-back starting to happen at the grassroots level in the form of the school board meetings at which parents are beginning to reassert their control of the curriculum and how its taught to their children.
America is in the process of waking up, like we were in run up to Pearl Harbor. Admiral Yamamoto warned the emperor that Pearl Harbor would only awaken a sleeping giant and he would be filled with a terrible resolve.
The American people are now being awakened, and when they are fully awakened, they will be filled with a terrible resolve. Hopefully our political disagreements will setteled at the ballot box fairly and accurately and in the courts and within the framework of the Constitution moving into the future and I believe they will be, people are on to the cheating now, poll watchers are not going to allow themselves to be thrown out and blocked out of view of the ballots and counters, I cannot see that happening again. But I fear if the democrat party is allowed to cheat and steal another election all hell will break loose. Hopefully the states are able to resolve the lawlessness that ruled the 2020 election in several states and again have elections that are at least mostly free and fair and as such we can avoid widespread violence which will IMHO certainly follow another election shown to be stolen.

His sentence should be triple that of a normal person convicted of the same crimes. Double for a government agent over a citizen, and triple for a law enforcement agent specifically tasked to enforcement of the laws in particular that the person in question has violated. Corruption is more harmful to society than ordinary crime is, which is why government agents should be punished more harshly than mere citizen criminals.

People like that agent should be hung in public and left to rot as a reminder that sex crimes against children are not tolerated. Unfortunately, not only are sex crimes against children becoming tolerated, they are becoming normalized.
Had a friend whose daughter was on Missing And Exploited Children’s Unit. She didn’t speak often about her job to her mom but once she mentioned listening to a tape where the child begged their tormentors to kill her. Just that one comment gave her mom sleepless nights. You are correct that type of job requires some sort of rotation. Too much evil.
