where exactly in the building was this leaking swimming pool we hear so much about?

Its in the bottom left of the posters image, outside. There was no indoor pool. Parking was under the patio area surrounding the pool. Its standard build out in S E Fla Bch front.
The patio is what was not properly slopped for good drainage

It is the outdoor pool in the picture. That wasn't the only source of water. The parking deck beneath the building also had chronic flooding problems from high tides and king tides.

You can see the pool in the picture I posted. It has been reported the pool deck was over part of the underground parking structure, including the pool pump room that was leaking, not necessarily the pool itself. Additionally, the pool deck was not properly sloped or waterproofed.

While just conjecture at this point, it is thought that the pool deck collapsed first causing a chain reaction of structural failures of the building itself, the support pillars of the building were already in bad shape and it didn’t take much for them to fail.
