A Republican-led drive to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, will go to a special vote on Sept. 14, the lieutenant governor declared on Thursday, shortly after the state's top election official certified the recall petition. The race to oust Newsom 2-1/2 years into his four-year term is shaping up to be chaotic, as several high-profile Republicans - including transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner - have said they will run to replace him.

Ok my friends this is it. I think it's doable. We need to settle on one candidate to show there's an ALTERNATIVE. There's more to it than just firing the Newsom. If Trump doesn't help pick one out it means it's not winnable.

Sept. 14 works in Newson's favor. It is what it is.

Why the wait. Something to be said about parliamentary ‘vote of no confidence’. Well no. I wouldn’t want it here.

We’ll see. It may not work in his favor, depending on events. If it’s another hot summer, with rolling blackouts and brush fires, a Sept. 14th date may not be so good for him.

yep, it is good to show there is an alternative to liberal Democrat rule.

There will be two issues to vote on. First, should Newsom be recalled, yes or no? Then the next question is, who do you choose to replace him?

I haven’t heard of any prominent Democrats running in the recall election. Perhaps the Democrat strategy is vote “no” on the recall, so that you vote to keep Newsom in office. If “No” to the recall gets a majority, then the 2nd question of who should replace him is a moot point.

Democrats have plenty of time to set the work-around in place.

I think you’re wrong. Arnold represented an alternative(a failed one). Just firing him-Grey Davis-wasn’t good enough.

Remember, this is not solely because of Newsom response to COVID. It’s so much more. Power grid issues, water shortage issues, covid unemployment theft, education, crime…it’s a long list.

In the end, I think he survives the recall. 😒

Too many naysayers here calling yourselves ‘realistic’. 74 days to go. What else are you going to do in the meantime? Just make sure you’re home on that day and encourage a few friends ahead of time. Ok so Cox is a loser. Katlyn is a circus geek. Falconer has a resume and that queer NSA fella just might gain traction. VDH would be my calm demeanor fella/historian and we need it now.

Now. More than ever.. Vote McClintock as a write-in. (ducks and runs for cover)

Honestly, the GOP has no candidate.. or should I say, the non-existent CAGOP party has no candidate groomed and waiting.. or worth a damn.

Bring back Tom McClintock.. Heck, run Bruce Willis.

At least Tom had a plan and it’s still a viable one all these years later after the last botched&stolen recall.

Bloated bureaucracies and looonies policies do not bode well for this state and neither does wasting time and money on a recall doomed to failure when few viable candidates are running much less even identified.

The CA ballot count is fully under DNC lockdown across CA.

There is literally no way around this.

Pelosi’s G-News greaseball nephew stays —

With CA demon-rat party overwhelmingly in control of nearly every election and ballot tabulation center, they will never again allow a true state-wide vote.

With the federal government going full enforcement of left wing totalitarianism, there is no DOJ or Congress to potentially call out CA.

CA is screwed.

McMintock doesn’t stick out except to us. 65 y/o. We need someone young enough to scare national democrats for the future. Can’t think of one.
