Former President Donald Trump returns to Texas today for the first time since he left the White House aiming to bring more attention to the surge of immigrants trying to enter the country since President Joe Biden took office.
Trump is scheduled to receive a border security briefing from state officials, including Gov. Greg Abbott at noon in Weslaco. Later, Abbott and Trump will tour a section of uncompleted border wall in Hidalgo County before attending a town hall meeting with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity. That town hall will air later tonight.
