A 7-year-old boy died Tuesday when taken off life support after sustaining severe brain damage during a judo class in which he was repeatedly thrown to prove he wasn’t up to the challenge of martial arts.
The Taiwanese child, identified only as Wei Wei, had been on life support for close to 70 days since the April 21 incident, according to local media outlets. On Tuesday, after Fengyuan Hospital doctors informed the boy’s family that both his blood pressure and heart rate levels were dropping, they chose to remove him from life support, the BBC reported.
The child’s uncle filmed the April judo class. He was, at the time, motivated to record the course as proof to the boy’s mother that judo may not be a good fit for him.

What's with the inappropriate and insensitive comments? Really think that it's funny that some second grader is killed when the judo instructor decided to throw him over and over?
That kid and his parents are in my prayers and his "instructor" should be charged with murder - and anybody who uses this thread for some kind of warped humor need get back to their faith.
I took judo in college. My instructor (sen-sei) gave me to a classmate who was smaller and let him throw me for about 15 minutes. I was never able to block one of his throws, I did stop before getting hurt and I knew how to break my falls. In that lesson I learned that if you know what you are doing, judo is very effective.

I would love to see the same thing happen to this “teacher”. He’s such a big tough guy throwing a 7yo around like a rag doll. Bullies like this will have karma visit somewhere down the the road.
What about Uncle Wei over there filming it on his iPhone. He didnt care enough to say anything? The Trainer is worse and the uncle is worse too in this race to the bottom.
Probably the child just wanted to defend from being bullied around.

My youngest son was rode too hard by his shotokan instructor once ....he balled his eyes out and the sensei kept pushing
My rib took him out of the class.....she was pissed
Instructor was former Asian green beret
I was ambivalent frankly but submitted to ribs judgement
