It’s June (only for a few more days, thankfully) and Pride month is still not over. Just when you thought we’d get out of it without a major head/desk moment, the NFL decided to join the rainbow bandwagon with this stunning and brave video ad claiming, among other things, that “football is gay.” We always knew football pants were unnecessarily tight—not that I’m complaining. This hit the airwaves at the same time every other corporation in America is pandering to LGBTQWTFery, giving it absolutely no consequence at all (except perhaps turning off its mostly heterosexual male audience).
Rugby is also a great game.
There wasn’t much Rush was wrong about.
You got that right. Matter of fact, I’d have a hard time finding anything he was off base on........Dear Lord, I miss that man........;(
For diversity, they should come out as straight for July, asexual for August, bestiality for September, whatever the plant people call themselves for October, space aliens for December, etc.
However, it seems asexuals consider themselves part of LGBT. How does that work?
In better times, what someone did behind closed doors wasn’t public knowledge and certainly not announced to the world in the middle of the 50 yard line.
They should just let the cheerleaders play instead.
I miss Rush. His replacements are weak. Mark Steyn would have been my choice
I liked Ken Matthews and Todd Herman with Rushisms thrown in. Sexton and the other guy ain’t gonna cut it for me.......I listened to about 15 minutes the other day....nope!
I would like Mark to have his own show. He could anchor three-hours in Rush’s old slot and draw a nation-wide audience of listeners, easy. Right now, two experienced broadcasters are in Rush’s slot and they still aren’t his equal.
Both Rush knew and Mark knows “where the ball would be” politically and called it. Everyone else is still commenting on the direction of travel. Not where it all leads to. They have the rare gift of being able to share that knowledge in both a serious yet entertaining way.
And I love it when people who were born elsewhere champion the freedoms of America. Mark knows at least how parliamentary politics work in Britain and Canada and all their problems. Little things that help to make him stand out.
But I get that some don’t like Steyn for that very reason.
Finally, I think Steyn wants to put his own stamp on US media. His own show, done his way, without the EIB behind him to direct him, however lightly. I don’t think he’d be happy being called “Rush’s permanent guest host.”
...Just my opinion!
No.:: it’s the time to stop paying attention games/sports and take back our Republic.
Not so fast. I think that the cheerleaders will have to embrace and display a few stunning drag queens on the
sidelines. I see an employment opportunity for Miss Nevada.
One question: WHY?
Why does the NFL feel the need to declare that it "stands by" the LGBTQ+ community - now or ever?
Does the NFL also "stand by" the Irish-American community? How about the Scandinavian-American community? And the New England-Serbian community?
If it "stands by" the LGBTQ+ community, does it also "stand by" the community of men and women who enjoy celebrating orgies dressed as giant stuffed animals (so-called "Furries")? We are, after all, a highly discriminated-against group, and the NFL is displaying considerable cowardice in not affirming their commitment to Furry-Friendliness!
Regards,
Well ain’t they special? It would help if people quit watching this sick National Fag League.
Ditto that.......
I don’t care if your gay or not. Just stand for the anthem. But I wonder how the other players feel knowing the guy they are showering with is turned on by men. Guess if they anything they are racist or homophobic.
There is one thing I can think of. Back before the second Gulf War (in 2002, I think) he devoted one of his segments to selling the idea of a free, democratic, pro-US Iraq. He really gave it everything he had, and I remember he even had me feeling good about the idea.
In hindsight, it's obvious he'd been talking to people in the Bush-43 administration, probably to the then-President himself, and had been asked for his support and endorsement of the action, which he allowed himself to be talked into giving. He never mentioned the subject again.
“...this would be a great time to bring Australian Rules Football to the US.”
We’ll have to change all the fields to ovals, and get those big pompoms...
I love Charlie. That kid is awesome........;)

What is this “games and sports” you talk of Levy78?.....seriously, I wouldn’t watch another sporting event of ANY kind even if my life depended on it!
