My uber-lib sister explained the ‘extra’ colors added recently.
They are all supposed to represent “persecuted”, “forgotten”, or “under-represented” people groups.
Black, brown= Black and brown people
Blue, pink, white= Transgender (supposedly different from LGBTQ+ people)

The rule of opposites.
The "persecuted" persecute everybody else.
The "forgotten" control the mass media and all major institutions which blare out their propaganda.
The "under-represented" are over-represented in academia, corporations, government, the mass media, etc.
Life is easy when you know the rules!

I feel your pain. I have ‘one of those’ for a sister, too! AND, as an added bonus, she’s gay! Happily, she’s not obnoxious about it; has had the same ‘partner’ for 18 years - who I actually like a lot.
