CHICAGO -- Six people were killed and 68 others were wounded in weekend shootings in Chicago as the city reaches the halfway point of what could be one of its most violent years in decades.
Four of the attacks were mass shootings with four or more people wounded. The attacks accounted for about a third of all the shooting victims between Friday evening and early Monday morning.

I thought shootings were all on Chicago’s South side by Obama’s sons. Lightfoot got elected by promising all those grieving black moms she’d have officers on patrol there. Did not happen.
But now? Apparently they’ve branched out. Makes me very sad. I lived near Chicago when I was a teen, could take the train in, walk across the Loop to my dentists office on Michigan Boulevard with zero fear. I’d be dead in 20 minutes if I tried that today. Sad. Infuriating too.

Funny you should mention...Mayor Rahm, the ballet dancer, cut the police budget and closed the precinct that handled the bulk of these murders. That’s because closing a precinct in a wealthy neighborhood would not be political. So, they guys assigned to handle the scenes now had a substantial commute and lost their local sources. So, yeah, the leadership can’t give a flying...uh...thing about the murders.
