The Delta strain has been associated with 2.61 times the risk of hospitalizations compared to the previously dominant strain in the UK....”
1. I read that the symptoms are same as hay fever or common cold...So how do 2.61 times the risk of hospitalizations occur if it is mistaken for hay fever?

2. biden and Fauxi are claiming India variant is deadlier than original Covid...Again, with hay fever symptoms, how is that possible?
2. I read that the death rate is higher for vaccinated with the India (Delta) variant. So they say the vaccines work yet reports that the vaccinated have a higher death rate than unvaccinated for the Delta variant...

3. There have been reports that more than half the new cases are people who received prior vaccinations...I easily found one regarding Israel that stated 50% of the new India cases were people who were vaccinated.

Very confusing...
not a geek either, lol
1. because people think they have hay fever and don’t get tested for early intervention and/or there is no early intervention available. High hospitalizations result from a variant that has mutated ways to enter more cells more easily, and/or can produce higher levels of virus system wide faster than the first gen virus, maybe without even triggering the immune system. The job of a virus is to replicate and adapt. So that’s what it’s doing.
2. India is claiming it’s more deadlier, too. So is Jakarta. Most of their patients are unvaccinated. I pay more attention to what foreign doctors say than Fauci
second 2. at your FR link, see my conterargument post here:

3. The vaccine worked great for the original Alpha (wuhan) mutant. Now there are 109 mutations (only 5 or 6 that seem ‘of concern’). Delta is affecting the under-40’s. In Israel half of the Delta cases are unvaccinated children under 16. None of the adult vaccinated that were reinfected have developed severe disease but they are suspected carriers - Israel has imposed mandatory quarantine on those individuals to stop any spread while they figure things out.
“An analysis by UK health officials found that two doses of Pfizer’s vaccine were 88% effective against Delta while a single shot was 33% effective. That’s compared with 95% efficacy against the original strain, or 52% after one shot.”
