I never use the cloud, because my hard drive and USB sticks can store all of my data and more.
From what I know, “cloud” is a place to store your data. You can use it as backup storage or any other data storage.

I don’t use the cloud, but I do email critical files to myself every two weeks. They’re stored offsite, safe from fire, theft, and malfunction, as long as I remember my email u/n & p/w.
