Do you speak the grammatically-correct language of white supremacy, or are you better than that?
At Maryland’s Towson University recently, a virtual conference ripped the racism of “rightful” words.
June 17th’s Antiracist Pedagogy Symposium sought to shed light on selecting syllables.
Associate Professor of Language, Literacy, and English Education April Baker-Bell — of Michigan State University — insisted teachers’ enforcement of standard English rules is an assault on “black language.”
Furthermore, per Campus Reform, she indicated black Americans bear a burden of racist violence.
White language guidelines, from the sound of things, aren’t too dissimilar:
“[It’s apparent that] anti-blackness that is used to diminish black language of black students in classrooms is not separate from the rampant and deliberate anti-black racism and violence inflicted upon black people in society.”
Black people don’t use conventionally “good” grammar, April evidently asserts, and teachers act as if they’re inferior:
“Teacher attitudes include assumptions that black students are somehow linguistically, morally, and intellectually inferior because they communicate in black language.”
Where whiteness is concerned, April’s contention isn’t uncommon.

Maryland's Towson University officially declared themselves racist.
If one wants to see the end-game of this sort of thinking, one only needs to watch the movie “Idiocracy”.
Good grammar is essential and, indeed, eternal, rooted as it is in the classical world, the cradle of western civilization. Ad sapientiam pertinet cognitio intellectualis rerum aeternarum.
Well, they could be UCLA, where automatic soap dispensers have been declared to be racist.
"Payback" will be merciless and fierce, and stupid cracker liberals will be the most vulnerable. They'll be like any number of stupid cracker liberals vacationing in filthy Raghead nations, thinking they'll be accepted because they (the crackers) are so loving.
The next thing we read is that they were murdered. That's what follows.

I used to watch Prime Minister’s Questions on C SPAN back in the early 90’s.

The two posts are not exclusionary.
In the Gulags of the Soviet Union, the Communists believed they were there for a greater purpose.
They continued to be true believers as were murdered.
My grammar and diction are King’s English correct. I’m afraid that I don’t speak a word of oogabooganes3.
Remember this?
soft bigotry of low expectations
Not expecting disadvantaged people or minorities to meet the same standard of behaviour or achievement set for most people. It is called “soft bigotry” because it is a more subtle and subconscious form of prejudice.

“Good grammar” includes those pesky sentence structure rules, singular vs. plural and past/present/future tenses. Ebonics doesn’t have those.
Meanwhile it’s just fine to blast southern white “redneck’s” language.
I don’t speak it nor care to support it, but it’s basically the same kind of thing - judging a person for the cultural basis of their speech.
I was raised to say ‘wash’ as ‘warsh’ And the capitol of the USA was “Warshington DC”. Was I ridiculed for that? No, but I was taught it is incorrect and have changed my pronunciation of those words to fit the correct English.
Same with “Italian” We pronounced it “Eye-talian.”
But if Billy Bob doesn’t speak perfect king’s English he’s an idiot.

I learned to dislike local “dialects”. I learned from listening to some of the best actors in old movies such as George Sanders and Sidney Greenstreet.
It is much easier to communicate, and understand someone who speaks good English and not gibberish.
If there was a LIKE button for that statement I would press it. I agree that bad grammar is a sign of ignorance.

If English is so hard for blacks to speak, why do so many African Nations have English as their “Official” Language, along with French and Portuguese?

I have good friends from Nigeria. Very professional people, and they cannot stand American blacks. They can’t understand how when many in Africa would kill for the opportunities our black people here are born with, they are so ungrateful.
